Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends,

Welcome to our Franklin Family! Franklin School is a community of students, parents and support staff working collaboratively to create a safe, caring, supportive, innovative and academically challenging environment for your child.  This community fosters individual growth and self-esteem while promoting respect, understanding and appreciation across cultures. We also like to have fun!

Our goal is to prepare students for a successful and rewarding future by developing both their academic and nonacademic skills.  Therefore, we provide instruction in Language arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Music, Technology ,Physical Education, and STEAM. We are home to the Apple 1:1 iPad Program, STEAM Lab inspired by Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy, and our very our A-OK After School Academies. Over 87% of our staff, including myself and all teachers who live in the city of Santa Barbara, enroll their own children at Franklin because we believe in the best kept secret we possess in our community.

Educate, Engage, and Enrich identify our foundation that all programs are based upon and that lead our instructional and financial decision to do what is right for kids! We are a true neighborhood school and the exciting educational experience here at Franklin reflects the dynamic relationship between the students, parents and school staff, as well as the surrounding community.
